New Prints, more to come

I haven't updated in awhile, been busy with working and also not working. There were two prints I completed recently, Walter and Human Condition, as well as a walking dead inspired piece that's on its way. Keep your eyes peeled.

I took part in an art jam this month. Basically a bunch of friends and friends of friends picked a weeks worth of subjects and the goal was to complete a drawing of each. It wasn't a competition, and there were no rules.  It could be a pencil sketch, a 5 hour finished piece, or anything in between. Below are my pieces I did in order *edit* yea, so blogger on my phone won't do the pics in order, you'll be able to figure them out though. Trust me.

Day 1 - nightcrawler from the xmen
Day 2 - jon snow from game of thrones
Day 3 - any secondary simpsons character (I picked bumblebee man)
Day 4 - connor from assassin's creed
Day 5 - beetlejuice
Day 6 - daniel the bull from where the wild things are
Day 7 - lucy from elfen lied or nightwolf from mortal kombat (lucy duh)

Had a lot of fun with some of these, and it was nice to get that motivation to get things done as well. Hope to do another jam soon. Stay tuned.

Progress report

So, things have been a little hectic as of late. I am now 4th key at my second job on top of my full time assistant position. I've got a upper manager visit this week, as well as loads of other fun extra curricular activities this week. All that being said, here are some updates on some current projects.

Golden Snitch Vans

Having a little too much fun with this time lapse app for the phone, so here is a pieced together video of me finishing the set of shoes I've been working on lately. Uploaded to Youtube because uploaded through blogger makes for poor quality video.

Slow as Molasses

filmed a brief time lapse video last night as I did some work on the Walking dead print. Unfortunately my black marker was dried out, the cap mysteriously laying a few feet away on the floor. I will post it up once I get the video re-rendered since I forgot to flip the axis the first time, making it appear as though I was some weirdo lefty.

Work work work.

Finally got a different layout finished, complete with image header. Looks a little better than the previous incarnation. Now down to business.  I have been pretty damn busy with keeping myself distracted from my current art projects. these distractions come in many forms, but the main culprit is my newly repaired xbox.  Fear not, as I have figured out a balance in order to stay productive. It involves me not sleeping much anymore.

Current projects include

Some custom harry potter vans
A few tattoo ideas
and possibly some color print in the form of the new header image.

Current projects

So as some of you may recall, a little while ago I did this signage for my employer for a Walking Dead contest. Like this see?

After being asked several times if we would sell it, and just the general response, I am working on a print version of the same artwork.

I'm shooting for this to be done late feb early march. And will probably go with the good ole 11x17 print format.

In other news, I've got a few side projects going as well. Stay tuned for updates on those.

A few new ideas.

So now that holidays are over I need to get the creative juices flowing again.  Currently I've got a few projects going: a pair of harry potter shoes, a gnarly rendition of some adventure time characters, and possibly some tattoo designs. I'll try and keep posting some in progress shots. Stay tuned

Welcome/Salutations/Under Construction

If you have managed to find your way here, welcome to the blog! As you may have noticed, things aren't exactly finished around here.  This is mostly attributed to my lack of free time and also lack of motivation to work on it when I do have free time. Rest assured, I will be attempting to maintain a regular interval of posting new projects as well as updates on going-ons.  At some point, I hope to have a page set up where you can order directly from me with Paypal, but that is just a pipe dream at this point. So stick around, I will get some stuff posted soon. In the meantime, I still do have all three variants of "the ritual" print available for purchasing. Buy one! -R
